Iodine is an essential mineral that contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and the normal function of the thyroid gland. It also contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal cognitive function and the normal function of the nervous system, as well as to the maintenance of normal skin. In children, the mineral contributes to normal growth.

The product contains natural iodine from kelp, a brown algae that also contains trace minerals.

Seagreens® pigweed (Ascophyllum nodosum), rice bran, bulking agent (pregelatinized starch from maize), capsule shell (hypromellose).

• Iodine deficiency was previously a common disease in Norway, because the natural content in soil and drinking water is low.
• Women of childbearing age, the elderly, vegetarians, vegans and others who drink little milk and eat little white saltwater fish are at risk of deficiency.
