Zym Milk & Gluten
Contains enzymes that assist the digestion of gluten, lactose and milk protein.
Enzymes that effectively break down lactose, milk proteins and gluten can help:
- Hard and loose stomach
- Bloating and gas
- Other problems related to digestion of lactose, milk proteins and gluten
Description
SHIFT™ Zym Milk & Gluten can help to effectively break down lactose, milk proteins and gluten found in dairy and gluten-containing foods. Lactose intolerance, protein sensitivity and gluten sensitivity can cause discomfort after consuming foods containing these substances. SHIFT™ Zym Milk & Gluten contains lactase for the breakdown of lactose in dairy products, specific proteases for the breakdown of casein and whey in dairy products, and specific proteases for the breakdown of gluten. With more efficient digestion, indigestion can be avoided.

Did you know that
- Carbohydrates, fats and proteins need digestive enzymes to be broken down in the body.
- Indigestion or stomach problems can lead to low production or low activity of digestive enzymes.
- The digestion process begins in the first chew, where the digestive enzyme amylase is released in the saliva.
- Lactase is a digestive enzyme that helps break down dairy products and SHIFT™ Zym Milk & Gluten contains this digestive enzyme.
For efficient breakdown of milk and gluten
The food we eat is complex, and various dishes often contain both milk and gluten. These substances cause many different types of stomach and intestinal problems. In order for the body to effectively break down lactose, casein, whey, gliadin and glutenin, effective enzymes are needed. In SHIFT™ Zym Milk & Gluten, lactase is added for the breakdown and absorption of lactose, also known as milk sugar. In lactose intolerance, there are too small amounts of lactase in the intestinal mucosa, and you may therefore experience indigestion after consuming lactose-containing foods.
Whey and casein are protein components in milk. Casein is made up of many different proteins, and whey is typically a mixture of beta-lactoglobulin and alpha-lactalbumin proteins. These must be broken down by enzymes in order to be utilized by the body. Indigestion can be caused by the body's lack of sufficient amounts of the protease enzyme required for protein digestion. The combination of different protease enzymes in SHIFT™ Zym Milk & Gluten breaks down milk proteins into smaller peptides that are less likely to bind to antibodies, making them easier to digest and absorb.
Gluten consists of the proteins gliadin and glutenin, which are difficult to break down in digestion. Undigested gluten can trigger the body's immune system to attack the lining of the small intestine, leading to varying levels of gluten sensitivity. Specific proteases in SHIFT™ Zym Milk & Gluten effectively breaks down the peptide bonds in gluten from the ends and from the inside, before the gluten has time to enter the small intestine. It can help ease the digestive distress related to gluten sensitivity.
