Informed Sport is a global testing and certification program for sports supplements and nutritional products. All products carrying the Informed Sport label are tested for banned substances at LGC's anti-doping laboratory in the UK, which uses ISO 17025 accredited methods.
Research shows that as many as 1 in 10 supplements may be contaminated with substances banned in sports, and that up to 8% of unintentional doping violations are due to such products. Informed Sport offers one of the world's most thorough testing regimes to ensure this does not happen.
Each batch of a product is tested before it is released to the market, and ongoing blind tests are also conducted to ensure that the products remain free of contamination. The certification process has been developed based on over 60 years of experience in anti-doping work.
SHIFT™ Magnesium is tested and certified through this program. This means you can look up the batch number on the Informed Sport website and get confirmation that the product has been tested and approved.
Established in 2008, Informed Sport has certified over 3,000 products in more than 127 countries. The laboratory tests over 25,000 samples annually.
